in which, despite weeks of breathless anticipation, my worst fears are realized

No one over here is broadcasting the Eurovision Song Contest.

(Usually I watch it on RFO, and I'm surprised they aren't putting it on, because they carried all the coverage of the selection of the French song.  I can't begin to describe how sad I feel, most especially since it's being broadcast from Helsinki, Finland, and I have mentioned my admiration of all things Finnish, haven't I?)

Sigh.  I am bereft.

(And yes, I know you can watch live coverage via the internet, except I'm on dial-up.)
